Levantina was commissioned by Frances Ottaway for Jordanian-Palestinian pianist Iyad Sughayer.
Sughayer premiered the piece at St Georges Bristol in February 2022 in a concert in aid of PalMusic UK, a charity supporting young Palestinian musicians.
